Szarvas evenings - atmosphere, programmes and experiences on the banks of the Dead Red Sea
There's a special, calm, slow-moving atmosphere to the evenings in Sarov that's hard to put into words. For many, it is the best part of the day. As the sun sets over the Holt-Körös, the surface of the water reflects the sky in gold and pink, and the noise of the city gradually fades away.
Unparalleled sunsets in Szarvas from the private landing stage of your holiday home
Watching the sunset from the Palov's Guesthouse's own deck is an experience that stays with you for years. As the sun dips below the Körös, the surface of the water reflects the sky in golden and orange hues, and the noise of the city gradually fades away. The surface of the water calms down, fish start to be more bold in their predation on the surface of the water, and if we're lucky, a few flocks of ducks will shuffle past us, quacking softly, searching for the frog's manna. From the arboretum, you can hear the evening aria of the peacocks - though the peacocks do not sound very nice, but with this volume, and the sunset, it's still atmospheric :).
If you really want to enjoy every moment of the sunset, it's worth settling down on the jetty early. Each event lasts about half an hour. During this time you can take some stunning photos or even a long video.
If we go alone to relax, to get away from the world, this food gives you a real boost.
If we are bored of sunsets 🙂 - Evenings in the city of Szarvas
I don't think it happens, but if you're tired of watching the sunset from the pier, you might want to walk in at dusk or ride a bike into town is. At this time of year, the coastal promenades are filled with walkers, quiet conversations and the kind of peace that is rarely felt so clearly.
As it gets darker, Deer becomes more intimate and the lights slowly take over the role of nature. The reflection of the lights along the waterfront, the quiet streets and the slowly emptying spaces slow down the moments. It is a truly soothing end to the day.
Evening programmes in Szarvas - theatre, concerts and experiences
Of course, you can also spend your evenings having fun! If you we want culture, a Water Theatre of Szarvas summer evenings make the city a special experience. Sitting in the auditorium, the stage and the Körös almost merge. During the performances, the proximity of the water, the light of the setting sun and the summer air create an atmosphere that cannot be experienced anywhere else. the location is no coincidence. The Szarvas Aquatic Theatre is not just a performance, but an unprecedented and special programme, an experience where the audience and nature participate together in the performance.
Delicious Sarov dinners on the banks of the Dead Red Sea
The city of Szarvas is full of better and better restaurants. If you want to eat near the water, there are several places on the banks of the Dead River where you can enjoy a quiet waterside view with dinner. It's especially nice to sit on a terrace, where the reflection of the evening lights on the water slowly takes over as the sun sets.
For lovers of traditional Hungarian flavours, the Halászcsárda is a good choice, where a hearty dinner - such as a fish dish or a hearty main course - can really round off the day. Beside the tables you can see beautiful old cypress trees growing out of the Körös.
One of the recently opened specialities of Szarvas is the Michelin-recommended Újváros Bistro, where you can enjoy a truly high quality gastronomic experience right on the banks of the Dead Red Sea. It stands out not only for the quality of its food, but also for its atmosphere. This fine dining experience combined with a relaxed, natural environment is a rare combination. A meal here is not just a meal, but a slower, more sophisticated evening out.
Designed at the bottom of the Water Theatre, right on the water, the Sky Bistro restaurant almost feels like you're sitting on the water. The view of the Dead River from the terrace, with the city bridge and the ancient cypress trees in front of it, creates a very special atmosphere.
We can also go into the heart of the city. One of the oldest restaurants serving traditional Hungarian cuisine, Vadászkürt Restaurant is a favourite of many locals, and its garden is very welcoming.
The Turul Restaurant is a more modern place, opened in this century, but its cosy terrace and all-you-can-eat option make it a really good place to stay.
Dinner by the water - if you'd rather stay at home
Not every night out in the deer requires a restaurant. Sometimes it's best to return at the end of the day - or simply stay there - in the tranquillity of your holiday home and prepare dinner at your own pace on the waterfront.
A accommodation facilities makes it easy to organise a cosy waterfront barbecue, as we provide all the necessary equipment. A light barbecue in the garden, with the proximity of the Dead Sea, gives a different atmosphere to the evening.
