Katalin Sebestyén - Founder of (S)PALOV Residences
For me, Szarvas is not just a small town in Békés, but a living museum, where history, culture and human values are visible around every corner. I believe that value creation is not only a result, but also a responsibility. The spirit of the Palov apartment buildings carries on this heritage: the joy of creation, the will to care and the commitment to community.
My goal is to create spaces where both body and soul can rest and reconnect for a long, fulfilling life.
Dr. Katalin Palov - Dedicated to healing
Belgyógyász és reumatológus főorvos, aki a szarvasi egészségügy szervezésében és fejlesztésében kulcsszerepet játszott. Kezdeményezésére nyilvánították gyógyvízzé a szarvasi termálvizet, megalapozva a Szent Klára Gyógyfürdő mai működését. Holisztikus szemléletével a betegségeket összefüggéseiben vizsgálta, így hatékony kezeléseket nyújtott. A legnehezebb időkben is vezette a szarvasi szakrendelőt, biztosítva az intézmény folyamatos működését.
In 2015, he received the "Public Health Award" in recognition of his outstanding professional work.
Dr. Katalin Palov - Dedicated to healing
She was a general practitioner of internal medicine and rheumatology, who played a key role in the organisation and development of the health care system in Szarvas. It was her initiative to declare the water of Szarvas as medicinal water, laying the foundations for the present-day operation of the Szent Klára Spa. With his holistic approach, she examined diseases in their context, thus providing effective treatments. Even in the most difficult times, she managed the specialist clinic in Szarvas, ensuring the continued operation of the institution.

Dr. István Sebestyén - A pioneer in health care
Founder and former director of the now well-known specialist clinic in Szarvas, husband of legendary Doctor Katalin Palov. He dedicated every moment of his life to his profession, and serving patients was his priority. Coming from a poor family in Mezőtúr - his mother was a housewife and his father a tailor - his life was defined by diligence, perseverance and respect for human dignity. As a young man, he went to the Russian labour camps, from which he returned, weakened to the core. Throughout his medical career he was on duty almost around the clock, living and working for his patients.
In 1995, he was awarded the posthumous "Award for Public Health" in recognition of his outstanding professional and lifetime achievements.
Dr József Palov - Guardian of the past and values
