Palov's guest house

Why choose a waterfront holiday home?

There is a very big difference between a „classic holiday” and a holiday on the water: one involves getting to the water, the other involves waking up on the waterfront.

This is one of the biggest advantages of a holiday home on the water. No need to think about what to pack for the beach in the morning, no need to balance towels, coolers and umbrellas on the way to the car, no need to wonder if there will be a good spot, if you'll find a shady spot, how long you'll have to queue for a sizzler, if you've brought enough water and how long they'll stay cold. Here, you simply get up, open the door and you're on the waterfront.

Waterfront holiday home: not a programme, but a permanent experience

This kind of proximity completely changes the rhythm of the day. You don't go to the beach as a „programme”, you spend the whole day at the beach. After a morning coffee, we can go for a swim. We can sunbathe in the morning, and if we get bored, we can always sit out on the covered terrace. In the afternoon, before a good nap, it's incredibly relaxing to stare at the water and suddenly fall „in love” with the view. After a good night's sleep you can have a snack on the beach - how much more practical is it to eat a melon over the water? Once you've eaten, you can splash in the water and not get all stuck on you and around you. Then it's back to sunbathing, and before sunset, if we're lucky, we might get a visit from some ducks.

In the evening, you don't need to make any special arrangements to watch the sunset on the water. (If you do want a different evening programme, you should check out the atmosphere at the for the evenings in Sarov.)

Everything at your fingertips - the practical side of a waterfront holiday home

Practicality is perhaps even more important for a holiday home by the water. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have taken everything down to the beach, and a minute later I remember what I've left in the house. Well, here at Palov's Guest House that's not a problem. There are about 12 steps to the house. Everything is at hand, even if we ‘forgot’: if we need an extra towel, we can walk back for it. If we get thirsty, the water heats up, spills out, runs out, no queuing at a canteen. If we're hot, we don't have to go anywhere, we just sit back on the covered terrace or go into the cool, air-conditioned house for a few moments. This kind of „homeyness” rarely comes so naturally - especially when you're in the accommodation and the waterfront are in one place. It's almost impossible on a beach, but it's what many people want on holiday.

If you do want to get out for a while, the area is full of easily accessible with attractions and programmes.

Slower days, calmer pace by the water

There's another part of a waterfront holiday that's only been experienced: slowing down. The proximity of the water automatically slows down the pace of everyday life. We're in no hurry because there's nowhere to hurry. There are no programmes to adjust to, no hot cars to get into, no days to organise. In an environment like this, it even becomes natural to take a step back and just be alone with our thoughts. The sun is simply happening around us, and we are in it - even in the middle of the water. When we're not just looking for a quick splash, there are plenty of other things to do. water experience we can choose.

When the waterfront is part of our everyday life

Many guests say afterwards that the biggest difference in a waterfront holiday home is not how much was done, but how much was left undone. Beach holidays weren't broken up into packing, travelling, finding a place to stay, sunbathing, packing again - everything was done in the same place, in the same private cottage, in the same tranquillity.

Palov's Guesthouse is therefore not just a holiday home by the water. It's a place where water is not a separate activity, but part of everyday life - and where all given in order to really experience it.
